Matte vinyl is the same waterproof PVC film as our glossy stock, finished with a glare-free laminate instead of a shiny one. Same 80 to 100 micron thickness, same water and UV resistance, same 2 to 3 year outdoor life: the difference is purely how it handles light.
No glare means matte stickers stay readable under harsh lighting and camera flashes, which is why they dominate on minimalist branding, soap and candle packaging, and anything photographed for a shop feed. Fingerprints and micro-scratches are also far less visible than on gloss.
One honest trade-off: colors on matte read slightly softer, roughly 10 percent less saturated than the identical file printed glossy. For pastel palettes that is usually a feature, not a bug.
Yes. The matte laminate is just as waterproof as gloss: bottles, tumblers, and outdoor use are all fine. Only the light reflection differs.
Choose matte for minimalist logos, pastel artwork, product photography, and anything handled a lot (it hides fingerprints). Choose glossy when you want maximum color saturation.
